  • Avoid soaking for long periods.
  • Gently swish the abaya in water; do not scrub.

3. Handling After Washing

  • Do Not Wring or Twist: Twisting can stretch the fabric and damage embroidery or beadwork.
  • Remove Excess Water Carefully: Press gently with a clean, soft towel to remove water.

4. Ironing

  • Low Heat Only: If ironing is needed, use the lowest heat setting and place a thin cloth between the iron and your abaya to protect embroidery and embellishments.
